The town hall in Hanover, capital of Lower Saxony, was built between 1901 and 1913 in the Neo-Renaissance style. A true architectural gem and one of the most beautiful town halls in the world. The adjacent Maschteich pond, with a direct view of the town hall, is a wonderful place to linger (Photographer: Christian Horenkamp, 2025).
