125 years of the Wuppertal Suspension Railway

The Wuppertal suspension railway was ahead of its time when it opened in 1901 - and as a tribute to its 125th anniversary next year, there is now a special edition of murals, ideal for every suspension railway fan.
There are all 20 stations of this technically impressive masterpiece, from Vohwinkel to Oberbarmen. The whole thing is available as a black and white photograph in a compact rectangular format, with a choice of 10 different background colors: from elegant black or white to bright green or yellow - and of course sky blue.
"I had the idea for this project for a very long time, but always put it on the back burner due to the amount of time and work involved. But now was the right time!" says Dirk Eichler, photographer and owner of cam/b.
The stations are photographed in great detail and extensively “cropped” in post-processing - this is the name given to the technique of removing objects from the background, which is essential for the high-quality print on Alu-Dibond and the exchange of background colors.
The images each show a station with a GTW Generation 15 suspension railway leaving the station. The black and white motif and the latest generation of suspension railway deliberately bridge the gap between the historical background and modernity.
In addition to the name of the station, the exact location is also printed as a GPS coordinate, in white or black depending on the background color.
The special edition of the Wuppertal suspension railway is supplied in a black gift box including a high-quality wall bracket and spacer already fitted. You will also receive a certificate of authenticity with hologram and a small brochure on how to care for the product.
