Important Information Regarding EU Shipping

As a modern, internationally oriented art manufacturer, we place the highest value on efficient processes, first-class products, and transparent communication. As part of a necessary realignment of our logistics structures, we must inform you today of an important change: Due to new European regulations, we are compelled to suspend direct shipping to all 26 neighboring EU countries until further notice.

Our entire premium portfolio, as well as regular sales and shipping within Germany, will of course continue as usual, with the same high quality and without any restrictions.

The Background - High Administrative Burden Due to EU Regulations

The reason for this move is the sharp increase in administrative and regulatory hurdles associated with the entry into force of the new EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) on August 12, 2026. This European regulatory framework requires online retailers to undergo separate, time-consuming registration processes and to continuously fund physical authorized representatives in every single EU member state. Costs ranging from 300 to 500 euros per country per year represent the minimum fee charged by administrative service providers - regardless of actual sales figures. In total, for all 26 neighboring EU countries, this expense would amount to at least 8,000 to 13,000 euros per year for us in purely bureaucratic fixed costs.

For an owner-operated manufacturer like cam/b®, the bureaucratic and financial burden involved is, unfortunately, out of proportion to the actual export volumes to smaller EU markets. Instead of tying up valuable resources in fragmented administrative systems, we are focusing our efforts on technological product development, our core market, and the development of global, trade-friendly shipping routes outside the EU.

We are monitoring legal developments very closely. Should special political regulations or significant simplifications come into effect in the future, we will immediately consider reactivating direct shipping to selected European countries. We will then publish relevant updates here.

Orders from the EU are still possible (geoblocking compliance)

If you’d like to purchase a work of art from us while outside Germany, this is of course still possible within the framework of European geoblocking regulations. You can shop in our online store as usual, provided you enter a shipping address within Germany during the checkout process.

For example, you can use the addresses of friends or relatives residing in Germany, or a commercial package forwarding service (known as a forwarding provider) based in Germany, which will handle the onward shipment to your home country on your behalf.

Outlook: Preparing for Global Expansion

We are using this transition, mandated by EU regulations, to strategically advance our global brand development. Instead of limiting ourselves to individual European markets, we are now intensively preparing for our global expansion into third countries. In the future, we will target major markets such as Switzerland, the U.S., and the Asian region directly.
